While I appreciate your intentions… that’s brawl-bait plain and simple, and I think we’ve agreed pretty loudly in the past (as I noted the last time this happened, as I recall — once it’d already gotten pretty bad) that Facebook and Twitter are better platforms for broadcasting such stuff than here.
As an aside: I hear a lot of fear and anger in there. This is a season of the year especially given to kindness, thoughtfulness, and caring, and while I usually have the Bah Humbug turned up to 11, this year I’ve been a bit more contemplative about things… mostly because I’m going through a lot myself. That said, if you need someone to talk to — hit me up, I will listen.
Also: something to think about — *I’d actually prefer we not discuss it here* — doing so will inevitably invoke topics of contention, even if we all start out somewhat in agreement, and I don’t want that to happen. But let’s all contemplate the idea that maybe a sort of universally-agreed-upon thing where we all try to care about each other just a little bit more and judge each other just a little bit less, during our daily lives throughout the whole year… might not be so bad a thing after all. After all, regardless of where we come from, what we believe, and who we are in our lives and within ourselves — we are each others’ keepers, for better or worse.
