Unusual suggestion for reusing paper towels. Is the purpose to save money as they are expensive, or to recycle, reuse, to save the environment. Â paper towels can cost over $1.00 a roll and you can feasible use a roll in 2-3 days.. depending on your habit, you can spend a lot of money in a year’s time on paper towels. .
My logical solution to saving money and not buying many paper towels is this: For around $27.00. you can buy a case of 4,000 hand towels from Sam’s club (and probably Costco). I use them in my kitchen for my hands, wiping up spills, wiping grease out of pans to keep from going into drains, etc. They can easily fit into a box on your kitchen counter (in my case a box made from pallet wood, and refinished to match my (new) cabinets) , and snapped out as you need them… I always keep a roll of paper towels for food contact, i.e., drain lettuce, bacon, etc… , but hardly ever use it – and a roll of paper towels will last me weeks if not months…. A box of 4,000 towels will last me 6 months or more. Each household will be different, but every household will save lots of money using individual snap out hand towels instead of paper towel rolls.
