Kudos to Jordan Thomas Wilkie for being a writing volunteer at the Chatham Youth Development Center.
To any one considering volunteering to fill Mr. Wilkie’s role, let me encourage you to do so. I was fortunate to work there as physician to these young folks for a year or so near the end of my active practice. I found the young people there to be most appreciative of their care and had no behavior problems out of the ordinary for teens and had no discomfort at all about my own safety.
I would think that teaching writing to this group would be fun and interesting indeed. Go for it!
