This statement is important. Obviously it has not been stated enough, BOCK, STEWART, and PETTY are against fracking. This really ticks off the democrats who are desperate for any issue they can run on, but what I want to focus on is this part of the statement; “…while the GOP has clearly pursued the agenda of forcing this industry upon Chatham and Lee county.”
Guilty as charged! Every two years we here from candidates,”Jobs, Jobs, Jobs, we need to keep more people working in the county.” So what has your conservative board done? They have worked to get the Randolph/Chatham megasite certified. Yes trying to lure good paying jobs to Chatham.
Does anyone who has listened to Pittsboro Matters, the coalition, Chatham Strong, or whatever they are calling themselves today, talk about us needing to be not only carbon neutral, but carbon negative believe this crowd will allow thousands of cars roll off Chatham assembly lines? Does anyone believe GM, Honda, Ford, or anyone….would want to work with a Pittsboro Matters type of Board of Commissioners?
Which board will have the best chance of landing one of the auto plants, a democrat or republican board? So yes BOCK, STEWART, and PETTY are guilty of trying to bring jobs to Chatham, sentence them to four more years on the Board of Commissioners.
