Good morning chatlisters! Man o man, we’ve got one hot weekend of live music lined up for you, we’re talking scorched earth here folks.  Come on out and have a bite, a drink and say goodbye to your work week like you mean it!

Wednesday @ 8:00 -* Open Mic*
Come check out some of Pittsboro’s talent at Open Mic!  As always on
Wednesdays it’s $1 off draft beer as well

Thursday @ 8:00 – *Mark Holland
*
Mark’s deep, heavy, rhythmic sound and style has blossomed and is reminiscent of early jazz and blues masters, but also has elements of country, R&B, Gospel, funk, soul, afrobeat and world music and is updated
for today’s contemporary, independent rock and jam scene. From the first note the polyrhythmic music gets the crowd moving and the hours-long rhythm takes the audience back and forth through time. Mark has refined his act over 16 years of performing and recording, and has supported such acts as Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Southern Culture on the Skids, Paul Thorn, Flaming Lips, Afghan Whigs, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and many others.

Friday @ 8:30 PM – *The Low Counts*
Black Sabbath meets T-Model Ford” – The Low Counts are an Americana/Roots Rock guitar-drum duo. The Low Counts’ original music is a hodge podge of the all of the music that influences Matt Walsh and Austin Hicks the most, finding them, effortlessly combining early 40’s and 50’s Mississippi/Urban/Piedmont Blues, 50’s Sun Records styled Rock/Rockabilly, 60’s Garage Rock, 70’s Stoner Rock, Psychedelia, old Country, Stax Soul, Hip-Hop or whatever else they can find to throw in the pot. As long as it comes out of the mash-up sounding original, real, fresh and if it rocks, it gets the stamp of approval. This duo isn’t easy to categorize, but one thing anyone could agree on is that whatever comes out of it, it’s always no-nonsense, raw, energetic, primal and coming from many music avenues at once, weaving them into one unique sound.

Saturday @ 8:00 PM – *The Tremors*
The Tremors are a high octane rockabilly riot.  Their dedications to the musical roots of rock n’ roll comes through in every whipsaw atomic blast. A night  with the Tremors is like a hell bent chicken-run through the
greatest music in American history.  The hybrid of blues and country that became rock n’ roll and changed the world.  Throw in some of their own rockin’ material and you’ve got rockabilly as pure, as authentic and strong as Tennessee sour mash.

Saturday @ 9:30 – *The Straight 8’s*
The Straight 8s have been delivering their combustible blend of high-octane rock-a-billy music for over a decade. While the band has earned a solid reputation for their live shows, it is the creative process that drives
founding member and primary songwriter Robert Striegler (guitar, vocals), Daniel Mebane (upright bass, vocals), and Mark Murphy (drums, howls).
