Subject: Donations Needed
The House of Israel and Kid’s Warehouse Missions in Chatham County
The House of Israel is a homeless mission in our county. We bed them, feed them physically and spiritually; Help the folks get into housing, help them get a job, teach them how to read and write and learn to budget money, and take care of basic needs.
The Kid’s Warehouse mission accepts good used household goods (mattresses, furniture, lamps, appliances, linens, dishes, pots and pans, law mowers, general handyman tools, Paper products,
soaps-shampoo-house cleaning products, etc) to give to children and/or their families to help them establish and/or maintain a home.
The donated items are tax deductible, however, The mission gives the items away to the needy, along with a Bible, devotional material for adults and children, and shares a house blessing prayer with each recipient. We can pick up donations or they can be delivered directly to the warehouse.
If you, your church, or organization is looking for a mission project, we need folks to:
1) wash-dry-fold-label and pack sheets/towels/curtains/general linens into large zip lock bags;
2) sort and organize warehouse;
3) donate food bags for over night stays = PUT IN A LARGE ZIP LOCK BAG =
A) one pop top can of Vienna’s/one zip bags of Tuna/ two fruit cups/2cheese & cracker packages/ two child size juice cartons/ two child size milk cartoons/ one small wet wipes and $3.00 cash (we use $3.00 to tell them about the Holy Trinity and God’s love for them);
4) donate household needs to mission; and
5) cash donations to cover gas for pickups/deliveries (100% staffed by volunteers).
