Subject: TIC-NC and Grand Trees at Pittsboro Toys, 9/4, 10:30 AM
TIC-NC (Tick-borne Infections Council of North Carolina) and Grand Trees of Chatham have teamed up to present a program for families about coping with some of the hazards of being outdoors, especially ticks!
Join us at Pittsboro Toys on Wednesday, September 4, at 10:30 AM. Pittsboro Toys has MOVED to 15 Hillsboro St. across from their old location and closer to the circle. Check out this old-timey space, a perfect match for the many hand-crafted and kid-powered toys for sale there. If you have not been there, this is a hands-on toy store, no batteries needed.
We’ll bring some ticks, sample repellants, and information for the adults about how to check kids for ticks and proper removal. We will also read some stories and then head outside for another Town Tree Walk. Be prepared to cross several streets while walking around town for about 45 minutes.
All ages welcome.
