DRT Press is Chatham County’s own micropress, specializing in books for children and families. Our first two books were picture books about adoption, but it’s our most recent book that should be of interest to anyone who hangs out with children in Chatham county: The Big Fun Guide to Tar Heel Country: 135+ Activities for Families in Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Hillsborough, Pittsboro, and Points in Between! by Erin Donoghue Baldwin, a Carrboro mom and Chapel Hill native.

The Big Fun Guide to Tar Heel Country is packed with ideas of things for families to do in Chatham and Orange counties, and the author prides herself in providing many activities that are completely FREE. This would be a great gift for your playgroup friends, your new neighbor, or your child’s pre-k teacher!

It’s available at Pittsboro Toys, New Horizons, McIntyre’s Fine Books, and Chatham Marketplace as well as several locations to our north (Chapel Hill and Hillsborough) You can also get it directly through the publisher’s website (www.drtpress.com) and other on-line vendors.

DRT Press is owned by Adrienne Ehlert Bashista, who has lived in Chatham County the entire 14 1/2 years she’s been in North Carolina.

Thanks for the opportunity to encourage people to BUY LOCAL!
