So, the Chatham Journal (on Facebook) has posted public documents on the PAC started by Randy Voller to support Jim Nass and Michael Fiocco.
Turns out that the documents show two major donors. Mayor Jim Nass and some retired attorney from Florida. Jim Nass appears to have donated 79.16% of the total income to the PAC. In a development that will shock nobody who pays attention in Pittsboro: guess where it appears the money went? A check to Randy’s LLC and to …. wait for it…Leslie Landis…Randy’s wife. So Jim Nass is paying Randy and Leslie to support Nass and Fiocco? Given that Jim has provided most of the money it would seem difficult for him to deny his very close relationship to Mr. Voller.
The next words I am saying are 100% rumor but I await confirmation or denial from Virginia Penley: Rumor has it that Mr. Voller and Ms. Landis gave themselves sizeable checks on the way out the door when they moved on from leading the Chatham Democrat party. I am hearing 5 figures. Is this correct?
Then we hear that Mr. Voller and Ms. Landis also receive checks from Main Street Pittsboro? Mr. Voller through one of his many companies and Ms. Landis gets funneled money as well. Is this true? Ms. Penley?
I am willing to offer a public retraction on any detail offered here if I am shown to be wrong. Ms. Penley, I am not interested in whether you believe I am being mean. I want to know if any of the details are incorrect?
We see a pattern here.
The question is NOT why the Voller family pays themselves. Who doesn’t like money?
The question is why Mr. Nass and Mr. FIocco fight tooth and nail to make sure the Voller’s get paid?
