Once again the subject of anonymous posting and cries of outrage, presumably from the political left, are levied about in the Chatlist. Specifically in today’s Chatlist, Ms. Crowell claims that public criticism was levied at individuals hiding behind privacy; and I presume here that she is referring to me. If so, I will point out that I did not violate anybody’s privacy. I did not mention any names, nor did I mention any business by name. In other words, I respected their privacy. What I did do, though, is mock the fearful those who desire to force their choices and behaviors upon others.
Let’s be honest here. The political “left” has been actively engaged in a practice and tactic commonly referred to as “cancel culture”, which they have managed to successfully weaponize. It’s really similar to their use of cries of racism, which they have also weaponized. Our reader base is astute enough to understand that the only reason some are so angry that they don’t have a name to go along with the posts is because it denies them the ability to use these weapons. Having received threats in response to stating certain critical views it is obvious that there are people who subscribe to this chatlist, not necessarily ones who actively post, but who are willing to engage in intimidation and possibly even violence to silence those that they don’t agree with or like. Therefore, given the real risks, I will not post under my name.
Perhaps one of our readers could conduct an experiment. Create a chatlist account with a made up name, address, and phone number. Post things that are objectionable to or critical of the Liberal Left Democrats and their pet groups like BLM and Antifa and see how long it is before they’re complaining about the account being fake which will confirm their intentions to dox, threaten, and harass people.
In response to Dr. Dyker’s quote of: “One may often be the smartest/most knowledgeable person in the room. One is never smarter/more knowledgeable than all the people in the room” it is also true that IQ of a mob is equivalent to the IQ of it’s members divided by the number of participants. Therefore if we have a mob of 100 people, each with an average IQ of 100, the mob has an IQ of identically ONE (1). The Liberal Left Hive very much resembles a mob.
In previous posts, I have questioned and criticized the politics of sending kids to school among Covid-19 and extended that to a criticism of school being a govt. function with the costs being compulsorily, meaning under the threat of physical reprisal by govt. if you refuse, foisted upon property owners. The irony of how the densely populated part of the county, the part in need of more schools, the part that is so obsessed with equity, is the one on the receiving end of the financial burden put upon the less populace (by choice) parts of the county. This too resulted in howls of outrage calling me a science denier and statements along the lines of “if I’ve ever received tax funded education that I have zero standing to be critical of the process.” Leftist logic at it’s finest: one dare not criticize the party, but then I was educated before Common Core and did not receive participation ribbons, which brings me to the idea of splitting the county.
I fully support splitting the county and Ms. Zimmerman is not the first chatlist-er to suggest doing so. There are several geographic options, but perhaps one that could be considered is along the congressional representative lines, even though this would be very much less than an equitable solution. Specifically I am suggesting splitting it between Ted Budd’s district and David Price’s. Ms. Vanderheyden asks, ‘Are “we” so different than “they” are?’ to which I would respond, yes, absolutely. There are very stark and fundamental cultural, philosophical, and ideological differences between the Eastern and Western parts of the county, especially when it comes to desires for government intrusion and taxation. My comments above about my position on issues and the response from those who disagree should be evidence of this. One must be living under a rock to not be aware of the divisions occurring in out society. Comments calling for a division of the county are a plea for reason from those who feel the burdens of substantial taxation without representation and history shows what happens when parties with power refuse to be reasonable. Obviously this is a reference to the Revolution of the 1770s, but for a more modern example, one can quote the preparedness trainer Selco Begovic who survived the Siege of Sarajevo. In one of his blogs, he wrote about that event and he put it this way: “when a store owner refused to trade reasonably, it became a reasonable response to pick up an RPG and send a grenade through his store window.”
