Raymond Gastwaite seems to have touched a nerve with his (her?) post in Chatlist #6839 on the 115-year-old voter in Chatham County.
It seems to me there are three possible explanations for that entry in the voter database.
Explanation one – the database used to validate voters has errors. By itself that should be concerning to every legally-registered voter, when one cannot ensure the integrity of the data. That might have been solved by the North Carolina voter-approved constitutional amendment for voter ID that was suspended for the current ‘emergency’.
Explanation two – there actually is a 115-year-old man in Chatham who voted. Not likely.
Explanation three – someone fraudulently voted. Possible, impossible to know at this point.
Most likely the registered voter database has errors. Not good, and an issue where we all should have concerns.
