I completed the 8-hour course last Saturday and received my concealed carry certificate.
Recommendations included the following –
Durham Pistol & Rifle Club does a first rate job. Website: https://dprc.org/
Deep River Sporting Clays, https://www.deepriver.net/ offers it and everything else I have done there has been very professional, and they offer a convenient practice facility. The class is important and required, but I think practice is essential if you are planning on carrying concealed.
K&L Gun Shop in Sanford offers CC classes.They have concealed carry classes in Siler City.
Check online with Ed’s Gun Shop in Vass, Durham Pistol and Rifle Club in Mebane, or Triangle Shooting Academy in Raleigh. TSA probably has the biggest selection of dates and times.
I quickly found that most of the classes were already booked for August and that openings were available starting in September. Prices for the class ran from about $85 to $125 plus the cost of ammunition.
Thanks to a fellow Chatham Chatlist member I was able to get into a concealed carry class that was led by a former military medic in Zebulon. The class was $50 and included the use of a firearm and ammunition for the live fire portion of the class.
It was definitely a worthwhile class. The instructor did an awesome job.
