I wanted to let the Chatlist know that if you need a tree removed, I highly recommend Red’s Tree Service. I know others on the chatlist have recommended Red, and now I know why. After the rain last week, we had a huge (wide and tall) oak tree start to come down; the crown was blocking our road and knocking down other trees as well.
I contacted Red on Thursday when the tree wasn’t blocking the road yet; he returned my call promptly and could come out the next day for an estimate. Overnight the tree fell more and blocked the road. Despite the off and on rain on Friday, and the severity of our situation, he quoted me a fair price and worked all afternoon until 8pm that night to remove it and the other trees. It was a huge task, but he didn’t try to change the quote based on the additional work he encountered throughout the afternoon.
We have another leaning tree that another tree service provided a substantial estimate…it’s still leaning a year later due to the high estimate. I showed it to Red and his solution and estimate was fair, realistic, and affordable!
Red is a certified arborist and has years of experience (I think 30+ years, from what he told me). He can be reached at 919-770-8095. He is super-friendly, talks you through his plan of action, asks for your input, and is very cognizant of limited budgets, as well as the need for many of his customers to continue to practice social distancing to protect their health.
He can work anywhere in Chatham County and beyond. I plan on sharing his info. with friends and family in Wake and Durham counties.
