I loved the Seresto dog collar for about 1 month. On the box is says not to get it wet, so I dutifully took it off the dog each time I threw a stick into the pond. After a month the dog had ticks on her again. When the vet tried to return it to the distributor they asked to speak with me directly. The representative said that if a dog gets wet (from a bath or pond or rain), it reduces the efficacy. I thought it was the collar that shouldn’t get wet. So even if your dog only gets wet once a week, it still won’t work well. Expensive lesson learned. IMHO – Go for the tablets.
