We took my son to one of these to give him a bit of cultural awareness and historical perspective. It was such a good experience, we offered to host this month at our house by the Rocky River.  As it said in the previous chatlist, anyone who wants to attend can call LORNA MADILL 919-616-6373.

FYI, Though in my opinion it’s mostly for Adults, kids can attend.  The ceremony is a bit long so if you want to bring a child like I did,  I wouldn’t recommend kids under 10 years old. Also, FYI, the younger kids don’t have to smoke the pipe, they just hold it respectfully and pass it along.

Definitely worth it if you are a spiritual type and haven’t done one of these, or if you want to expand your understanding of the Blackfoot culture.

Feel free to reach out to me with any questions you have…
