Subject: Event in Downtown Pittsboro May 4th Take CF Away Cycle & 5K
Hi, I am Kimberly Houston and live in Pittsboro with my husband and two little girls, ages 3 and 8. Both of our children have a chronic, progressive, and incurable disease called cystic fibrosis. Every year we participate in fundraisers for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, which is an organization that leads the way in funding vital research which will improve the lives of those living with this terrible disease, and hopefully one day even find a cure.
This year, we are working with the CF Foundation and hosting a brand new event right here in* Downtown Pittsboro on May 4th! *
This unique event, *Take CF Away Cycle & 5K*, will take place on *May 4th* in the annex parking lot in front of the courthouse (just across from The Mod). It will offer a *5K* and two *bike ride* options (42 and 64 mile) in the morning (start times are staggered between 8:00-9:30) followed by a *BBQ lunch*, Mapleview Farm ice cream, and other family friendly activities in the afternoon (12-2:30). These activities will include inflatables, music, Lilly Den Farm animals (milk cow, calf, bunnies, goats, chickens), fairy hair, art, games, and more. 100% of the proceeds will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to help accelerate research towards a cure. There is truly something for everyone and this is sure to be the new talk of the town! So don’t miss it!
The 5K and bike rides are timed and awards will be presented. A free lunch (provided by Pittsboro Roadhouse) and a T-shirt will be provided to all race participants.
