9:15am-2:15pm    Affordable Care Act Enrollment-
Affordable Care Act (ACA) enrollment assistance is available from 9:15 am – 2:15 pm by appointment only.  Meet one-on-one with local ACA enrollment Navigator, Martha Samaniego of NC Legal Aid. Appointments can be made by calling 1-855-733-3711 or by registering online at www.getcoveredamerica.org/Connector . Enrollment appointments will take place in the Library’s double-study room

11am                         CCL Preschool Story Time
12:30pm                       CCL Exceptional Stories. People of all ages and abilities are invited to join us for Exceptional Stories – an inclusive Craft & Learn program. Each month’s session will feature books, short stories, and/or poems around a discussion topic, and participants will complete a craft. Caregivers are encouraged to attend. 4pm              Pokemon Club. Bring your Pokemon cards to trade or battle. Bring your device if you like to play Pokemon GO! Open to kids of all ages..

Wednesday, Nov. 14
4-5pm              Drop-in Computer Assistance. Do you have a specific computer or technology question?  Need to know how to insert page numbers in your Word document, create an email account, or get started with library eBooks?  Drop in to Chatham Community Library’s computer lab for one-on-one assistance on the second Wednesday of each month, any time between 4:00 and 5:00 pm.  (If you have a question about something on your personal laptop or device, please bring it with you.) We can typically spend about 20 minutes with each patron.  Please come prepared with your specific questions.  If you need extensive help with basic computer skills, we recommend that you take advantage of our Computer Basics classes. First come, first served.  No registration required.  Please call 919-545-8086 with any questions
6pm                       Virtual Justice Project: Child Custody Matters – Take places in the double-study room. This program is free and open to the public

Thursday, Nov. 15
9am                         Genealogy Assistance. Volunteer genealogists are available to assist with family history research, whether your ancestors lived in Chatham County, the 50 states, or overseas.  A genealogist is on site in the library most Thursdays from 9:00 am to noon, and other days and times by appointment.  Call 919-545-8086 to make an appointment. Sessions take place in the Local History & Genealogy area of Chatham Community Library.  Please bring as much written documentation as you have about the topic you are researching, as well as a flash drive for saving documents and/or money for printing.
3pm                        Intro to Facebook workshop. Come learn about the world’s most popular social network!  We will be focusing on individual (personal) accounts in this class. Topics covered in this workshop include: creating an account, learning the lingo, setting up your profile, adding friends, adjusting your privacy settings, staying safe online, and more!
Prerequisites:  Participants should have taken the Internet Basics class or have prior experience using the internet.  Participants must be comfortable operating a computer, including mouse and keyboard. This workshop is FREE and open to the public; however, class size is limited and registration is required.

10am                           CCL Baby Lapsit. Babies and their parents/caregivers will interact with music, rhymes, age-appropriate books and lots of cuddles. Baby Lapsit lasts approximately 20 minutes, with time after for free play and socializing. For babies from birth until waling and their parents/caregivers. 11am                          CCL Family Story Time. Families with children of all ages are invited to join us for a 30-minute story time, including books, songs, stretches, rhymes, and dancing! For more information, contact Youth Services at (919) 545-8085
2pm                             CCL Fall Family Craft & Learn. Families with children of all ages are invited to hear some stories and poems, and make a Thanksgiving related fall craft. No registration is necessary! Our craft event will take place in the Holmes Meeting Room. For more information, contact Youth Services at (919) 545-8085.
3:30pm                        Spanish Book Club (Club de la Lectura).  Our book club ‘Tertulia Compaginar’ reads titles originally written in Spanish. We do not read translations into Spanish from any language. We read both fiction and non-fiction books. The majority of our members are originally English native speakers, with the added benefit of a few native Spanish speakers from different countries in Latin America. Our sessions are a bi-monthly 1-1/2 hour immersion into both the Spanish language and its cultures. All interested persons are welcome to apply. People are welcome to RSVP to audit.
