After I posted last Saturday I received a number of friendly and warm messages from people whom I know as well as perfect strangers.
Thank you. You restored my faith in our community.
It is hard to be on a fixed income, alone, and injured so the messages and phone calls cheered me up.
And I will offer that I also had a nice email exchange with Mark Stinson, who posts on this list quite often.
I may not agree with Mark on some issues and policies, but I respect his right to express his views.
And I think we have more in common as human beings and fellow Chathamites than differences so I salute him as well and wish him the best, too.
