Subject: voter turnouts, changes, and election results
Hi Bruce,
You can send an email to the BoE and they’ll give you that info in a spreadsheet that they can generate for a given time-span.
I know that doesn’t immediately answer your question, but I’ve done that a time or two and found that pouring through the data to see the voter turnouts, changes, and election results year over year by precinct turned out to be fascinating.
It might also disappoint you a bit, such as when you start doing the math on the last few elections and realize that a BoC candidate supposedly representing a district in a southwest part of the county can win the seat purely on votes from the northwest (e.g. Chapel HIll) section of the county.
But it is an interesting way to see the shape of Chatham County.

Subject: primary turnout10,288 voters out of 39,417 registered voters (26.1%) voted in the
primary.historically, how does this compare with previous democratic primaries?
to general local elections?
to state office elections?
to federal office elections?just curious as to what to expect of my fellow Chathamites this fall.
