Subject: Pittsboro Ford gone in the dead of night
Today, I stopped by Pittsboro Ford (recently Crossroads Ford) to schedule maintenance work on one of my vehicles – only to discover they’ve closed up shop – inviting me to check out one of their other operations, ‘to better serve me with larger, more modern facilities, increased service and parts availability and a better selection of new and pre-owned vehicles’. Funny thing – I already had that – in PIttsboro.
So, here’s my question – where in the Pittsboro area can I find friendly and reliable vehicle service? I want to give my business to local companies – and no, not Chapel Hill Tire.

I l8ve Welford Harris in Siler City. Recently bought my 5th car from them. Service has always been great.
I know, I have used Pittsboro Ford for the last 10 years and I AM NOT going to use Crossroad Ford!!!
I’m going to move all my service work over to J&W automotive. They are reliable and trustworthy.
We have taken our 18 year old Honda to Performance Auto ( across the street from the post office) for eight years. They are courteous, fair, and honest. Try them!
Good question, Larry! – We’d been taking our cars To Pittsboro Ford Service Dep’t. for servicing and repairs for many years. Always found them to be excellent. When Crossroads Ford took over, we were assured by the new manage that the service department and all its personnel would be retained.
Now the place is completely empty! Why would a company take over another company and then shut it down in less than a month???
