Dear John,

When you state that the Chatham County Republican Party supports competent, ethical, and honest leaders for Chatham County as your reason for not filing a Republican challenger to Sheriff Roberson are you implying that the elected official holders whom you are challenging are incompetent, unethical and dishonest leaders?

That seems a bit extreme.

Perhaps you are you implying that the office holders whom you are challenging will fail to uphold the laws and follow their oaths to support and defend the constitution of the United States.

Or are you saying you could not find a Republican challenger for Sheriff who was competent, ethical, and honest?

A bit of clarity would help.

In any case I find it amusing that you claim that being a Republican and pushing Republican dogma as its local chairman is a shift towards a less partisan Chatham County.

This is akin to the child who starts a mud fight and then cries foul when said child gets dirty.

As a true blue Democrat I would be happy to place our platform down next to yours and discuss whose platform lines up with a majority of Chathamites and Americans and whose is a bit extreme.

  1. Virginia,

How about you ease up a bit. He only stated his parties ideal candidate and made no mention of his personal feelings of Sheriff Roberson.

    “That seems a bit extreme.”

You’re entire response was nothing but you making assumptions about him and his beliefs and belittling his political ideology.

“This is akin to the child who starts a mud fight and then cries foul when said child gets dirty.”

While I understand you may not agree with John , I believe it is comments like yours that “is a shift towards a less partisan Chatham County”.

    God Bless.
