Subject: My day . . .
Woke up this morning same as many others lately- already feeling a bit gloomy, forlorn. Maybe a little more sleep would do the trick? Nope, that never seems to work.
Always sleep too long that second lay-down. Maybe just not my day?
Decided best to go to town today rather than Tue. So backing out the car I spied something out of place. I know my own thrash and stuff, but this was something different. I always get debris drifting from hyway 64, but this was 200 feet into the property.
It was a large glittery metallic thing blowing around. I stopped the car and investigated. It was a deflated silver, blue, red and yellow balloon- Boy was I annoyed- until I turned it over and there in huge joyful letters was “This Is Your Day”- It changed my whole thinking- Just perhaps it was ‘my day.’!
Dropped off my food donation to Cora- felt good about that. Met an old friend from way back at Habitat. Good feelings there. Found a great shelf at a fair price. On to the farm store and pleasant experience there. Always look forward to visiting the P.T.A. Thrift shop- Pam was there- We talked and got most of the world straightened out.
My friend Joyce was having problems with her heat pump- Gave her my heating folks number. Packaged scrub pants were on sale- package of four for fifty cents.
Bought enough to actually convince myself to do a little work, scrubbing or whatever. A wonderful Pierre Cardin Tropical shirt was the icing on today’s ‘feel good’ cake.
So, even if life’s balloon seems deflated, look on the brighter side . .
