Subject: Allow me to introduce Clinical Teaching Tutors
Perry Harrison was the first person to hire me in Chatham right after I married many years ago and this director started at Moncure and then moved to Horton. From there, my employment in teaching led me to the Chapel Hill Schools, Duke Evaluation Center, Center for Development in Learning–all that led me to take over a private practice in education that I still run now in Pittsboro and all areas of the Triangle but we are located now in Pittsboro.
Clinical Teaching Tutors have specialists in all areas of education from consultants, diagnosticians, tutors, and ADHD and Dyslexia coaches. We tutor in all areas from early childhood to AP/Honors in high schools and college. A huge part of our work is in academic coaching or organizational skills and time management. Also, we have ESL and foreign languages. We research and know a lot about students with learning disabilities,literacy, ADHD, dyslexia and all areas of students in both public and private schools.
Test prep is also a large part of our practice in SAT/ACT/GRE/PSAT/SSEE and most private school testing. We use programs written by the college board that have been supplemented with practices written by local school personnel who have top scores in the state. Clinical Teaching currently has contracts in many systems and we have provided contracts and workshops in the Chatham County schools as well.
