I spent hours with Casey Mann, Randy Voller and three young people canvassing Pittsboro on a beautiful day Saturday.
Real conversations with real people still matter.
Casey had survived a near fatal crash when she was 19 years old and her vehicle was recently totaled in Pittsboro by a driver who took a sudden left turn across traffic and hit her near her driver’s side. She was in visible pain Saturday, yet she was all over town meeting voters.
Later we finished the day watching Rhonda Robichaux and friends play music at the City Tap. Seeing Rhonda was especially personal since they have been friends since Casey began working in Pittsboro years ago, and finally found an affordable home for herself her two teenagers here in Pittsboro over a year ago.
