Subject: Volunteers for local non-profit needed to work with the elderly and disabled
SonShine & Blessings (SS&B), a Christian, non-profit ministry, is in need of Christian volunteers to help with the elderly and disabled so that their caretakers can get much needed breaks or so the elderly and disabled can continue to live alone in their home. We currently have a waiting list ofpeople in need of help, so you can make a difference in someone’s life by joining our team!
Depending upon the client, skills may range from just sitting with a client, being kind, responsible, compassionate, and trustworthy, to also being able to lift patients, do household chores, help with meals, and/or be a CNA. Not all clients need physical assistance. Some just need supervision and company to keep them from being lonely. Some clients need someone to check in on them on a regular basis, with no specific needs to be met.
SS&B also needs volunteers to transport clients (elderly & disabled) to doctor’s appointments, grocery store, bank, beauty/barber shop, etc. Volunteers must have good driving record. A criminal and driving background check will be done on all volunteers. The volunteer may or may not need to supply his/her own vehicle for transport.
