Subject: Joyce Bryan send-off party & potluck Saturday, October 4
Friends & acquaintances of JOYCE BRYAN (Stonecrow Pottery) are invited to come together on Saturday, October 4 from 6 to 9 pm in the Multi-Purpose Room, Building 2, at CCCC (Central Carolina Community College in Pittsboro) for a potluck and send-off party in her honor.
Spread the word!
Our beloved Joyce is closing her shop and retiring to Georgia to live near her daughter. We gather to celebrate her and her 37 years of living in Chatham County, producing and supplying us beautiful and functional items from clay. Joyce knows about our party and is looking forward to seeing all her friends.
This is an alcohol-free event. Please bring a potluck dish to share. (But don’t stay home because you can’t get a food item together; just come–there’ll be plenty). IMPORTANT: Joyce and I (and a number of other friends) have the Alpha-Gal food allergy (from a tick bite) which makes eating red meat (e.g. beef, pork, lamb) and the broth of red meat potentially life-threatening. (Poultry and fish and cheese are safe). Please take the time to label the contents of your dish. Remember adding bacon, fat back and beef broth are hard to spot…please just label. Thank you so much for your attention to this.
Let me know if any of you can come early and help set up tables, chairs and such.
Many thanks to all who help make this happen.
More later.
