Bully Awareness & Self-Defense Camp
This camp will teach your child verbal assertiveness to deter bullies and several non-violent self–defense techniques to stay safe if physically assaulted. Punching and kicking will not be taught, since research shows that this approach (violence-based) often does more harm than good. Instead, leverage-based control holds which neutralize threats are taught. This camp will prepare your child to defend him/herself against bullies, while at the same time teaching a special skill-set to prevent them from turning into one! If you would like your child to gain unshakable confidence, while reinforcing positive values and good character, this camp is for you! Go to http://www.bullyproofnc.com/ for more information. Ages: 6-14, 1:00-4:00 p.m.

Your camper will have a blast creating crafts, playing games, snacking on traditional Hawaiian treats and attending their very own luau party! Aloha. Ages: 4-8, 1:00-4:00 p.m.
Inventor’s Workshop
Do you like to invent things? This camp will have you creating wacky inventions, designing innovative games for each other to play and creating commercials to advertise your wacky creations! All campers will receive a dvd with camp highlights and commercials! Ages: 7-14, 1:00-4:00 p.m.
Kindergarten Readiness Camp
Kindergarten Readiness Camp provides a nurturing and structured environment for children to learn through play. This camp is not designed to pre-teach or over prepare your child, but rather practice routines, participate in cooperative learning, to build vocabulary, follow directions and develop a strong sense of self-confidence in their abilities. Although students will be exposed to several academic skills through music, games and creative and organized play, the main focus of this camp is to prepare them with social tools and strategies. Communication and self-discipline are crucial pieces for a child’s academic success. Campers will have their own classroom supplies, cubby and work area. At the conclusion of camp, parents will have the opportunity to meet with camp instructors to discuss any areas of concern. Activities and suggestions for each child will be given to parents throughout the week to help campers work on readiness skills. Campers will also take home art projects and work in a daily “homework” folder. This will be a great opportunity for your soon-to-be Kinder kid to show you what they have been working on in camp! Ages: 4-6, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
LEGOrobotics
