Subject: Shout out to Noel’s new produce stand at Cole Park Plaza
My buddy Noel, who operates Noel’s Produce in Pittsboro (at the old car lot) has opened a new produce stand at Cole Park Plaza. I know for a fact that Noel stands behind all his produce and sells only the freshest fruits and vegetables. Any produce that has bruises or even a hint of badness anywhere gets tossed out. He loves to give out samples of his fresh fruit and even sells jams and jellies and juices now.
I hope you will stop by and support his new endeavor at Cole Park by purchasing some produce from him.
Oh, and bring him a big, hot cup of coffee when it is about 98 degrees outside. He says it cools him off! Those crazy Irish.
I know you meant it as a compliment but I do hope you are wrong about “tossing” bruised or imperfect produce. This is a universal problem with our culture. This “imperfect” produce should be (and probably is) used in some fashion – those jams and jellies, a soup kitchen, sold at a discount, etc.
