Muddylaces neglected to include in his/her May 8 Chatlist post titled Chatham Strong is icky, in which he/she asserted that Diana Hales lied, that at the following BOC meeting on 7/15/13, during public input Diana said, “I want to publicly apologize to Comissioner Brian Bock “for falsely attributing a statement to him . . ”

Diana went on to explain that during the June meeting Brian Bock had nominated a candidate for appointment to the EDC Board of Directors, followed by Sally Kost’s giving a brief review of the nominee’s resume including her being a Siler City business owner, an artist and affiliated with the Arts Incubator.

Bock then voted with Petty and Stewart against his own motion, which Diana stated “led to my conclusion, but it was not factual.  For my error, I do sincerely apologize.”

Diana’s statement can be found in the minutes for that meeting, under Public Input.
