Subject: Pittsboro Matters Won’t Be Wearing Colors
This last week people who both support and oppose the current Chatham Park Master Plan suggested in the Chatlist that people should wear green Monday night at the Pittsboro Board of Commissioners meeting. Pittsboro Matters respectfully disagrees with both suggestions. We recommend not wearing colors to indicate whether you are “for” or “against” the proposal.
We believe wearing colors to represent a position for or against the development is inappropriate in these circumstances. Instead, we encourage everyone to go in with an open mind and listen what the consultants
recommend to the town board.
We have read the report and support most, if not all, of the recommendations of the Lawrence Group. We are extremely pleased at the detailed analysis and recommendations that were developed by these consultants, especially given the short period of time to study this massive development report.
Please read our three-page summary of the report and/or the 27-page Lawrence Group report itself on the Pittsboro Matters’ website at: http://pittsboromatters.org/
