Subject: Dr. Dykers, stupid behavior, and Henny Penny
Dr. Dykers, I agree with your post in the Chatlist (1/3 #4829) 100%. I can’t think of any post you offered that was not well thought out, balanced, and fair even without benefit of tone of voice or eye contact. I admire that in you.
I have caused shrieks and howls by calling attention to stupid behavior. It is amazing. When I do stupid things, I often don’t recognize it until someone calls my attention to the stupidity of my actions. Then, if I am [somewhat] honest, I am embarrassed or maybe even ashamed. When liberals behave stupidly, they point to others who are behaving just as stupidly [or more] and claim the behavior must be okay. AND anyone who disagrees with their stupid behavior is calling names and/or using pejoratives that offends people’s sensitivities. OR they are being “attacked”.
In one of the versions, Henny Penny is hit on the head by something and she runs around declaring the sky is falling. All her silly friends believed Henny Penny’s declaration of doom. Henny Penny caused her friends to be eaten by the fox. That story is 2500 years old and just as poignant today, PittsboroMatters.
Disagreement is NOT an attack. Pointing out stupid behavior may save a life. Or our nation.
Pittsboro Matters leaders feel free to attack invisible, rich Preston Development using words like “greedy”, “profit”, “unorganized chaos”, etc. ad nauseam. THAT is politically correct. THAT is a “valid” path to vent the boiling rage they carry around. Then they accuse anyone who disagrees with personal attacks. Oh, yes, and ad hominem attacks. They love that one. It sounds so perfect! Ok, that was sarcastic.
Liberals fake being offended or claim being attacked to deflect attention from the original question or issue. For example, it is not an attack when I point out the Rocky River Heritage Foundation received grant money from Chatham County and sued Siler City. That is not an attack. Simple fact. Do those facts bother anyone else or just me? WE paid to sue Siler City. YOUR property tax bill paid to sue Siler City. Let’s use our tax money to sue ourselves!
I do not think I attacked anyone. I did not intend to attack anyone. In my opinion, I simply observed behavior and opined how that behavior showed up. I asked questions when certain behaviors showed up appearing inconsistent, hypocritical, or like a Henny Penny trying to convince us the sky is falling. You are not attacking Henny Penny when you say the sky is in fine. A developer trying to convince us another developer should be held to more stringent laws and rules and ordinances may be the fox that eats Henny Penny. Some of the people who joined PittsboroMatters are Foxxy Loxxy. Some are Henny Penny.
