Subject: Fat Tuesday – March 4th
Join in the celebration of Mardi Gras with pancakes on ‘Fat Tuesday or Shrove Tuesday on March 4th from 5 pm to 7 pm at St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church in Pittsboro (corner of Rectory St. and Salisbury St. After supper palms will be burned in remembrance of the previous year’s Palm Sunday. The ashes will be blessed by Fr. Wilber Mundia in preparation for St. Bartholomew’s Ash Wednesday service on March 5th at 12 noon in the sanctuary. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of penitential season of Lent.
