Subject: Doc and Brad , Black and White
I know Doc from many emails and conversations , I know Brad from meeting him and numerous conversations . This is proof to what I have always said , everything we hold to be true is from our own unique certain point of view . Doc and Brad may vary in opinions but knowing them both I would expect if the two were in the same place having a real conversation they would find some common ground and might even like each other . With that said . I personally would appreciate it if people think about what they say about each other first then toss the rocks . I like them both and respect them both . Just play a little nicer please 😉
This chatlist has taught me many things . Its ok to be wrong , its ok to say I was wrong and its ok to be who you are and stand for what you believe . I think we loose some of the meaning of what we say and our personality when we type in black and white .. We loose the ability to see and hear the differences in the tone of voice , facial expressions and body language that helps us discern the true meaning of a persons point of view . I have backed off of politics here not because I wont voice my opinion but I want to really think about what I’m going to say so it comes out in black and white clearly like ( I hate obamacare , its bad , in my opinion you best not sign up for it as its falling apart and wrecking the insurance industry , it will die , don’t let it pull you down with it ) That’s my opinion , its crystal clear in black and white with no chance of anyone mistaking it . I have steered clear of the Chatham park issue since before Christmas . I cant seam to make up my mind on it. Both sides have valid points and I live on the opposite side of the county so I will just keep studying till I make up my mind . As far as liberals , conservatives and the like I can say this . Not all liberals , democrats or republican conservatives are right ,, or wrong . Some use their political affiliation to force us to accept things we just don’t need to . Others try to actually work for what we all want and I know their is common ground to be found between all reasonable folks . I changed to unaffiliated because in my opinion the democrats in Washington screwed us all .
As far as political parties in Chatham county go ,, they are to busy fighting amongst each other to really be effective in solving problems . If you speak out against either party you get slammed into submission or made a fool of . Things have improved in the last few years with a little more give and take between parties here . I decided to get out of that argument and focus on who I feel will actually do what’s best for the county and vote for that person . I leave the pointless arguing to the rest . Back to where I started , unless you personally talk to someone face to face you cant really form a complete opinion of them , their intelligence or their nature . I like Doc , I like Brad ,, I would appreciate it if people just think before they say something not so nice about either . They are part of what makes this chatlist so enjoyable and I hope both consider me a friendly 🙂 Goodnite Mark
