Subject: Theft of “Pineapples”
I wonder if the Thieves who took my two stone pineapples cemented atop my farm sign knew that these (pineapples) represent WELCOME and HOSPITALITY – ?
I was not particularly pleased to find them missing as well as part of the stone structure that holds my farm sign intact – but I got to thinking about who could have “Welcomed” themselves to my “Hospitality” Pineapples? These were I would imagine taken after dark – which meant that this was premeditated – obviously seen in daylight and returned in darkness to smash them from my stone work holding my road sign.
Alas, I could write and ask what is the country/county coming to – but to what avail. A could also say I wish you (thief/thieves?) could have come to my door and asked where I had purchased these symbols of Hospitality and Welcome – Ha! In any case I trust this was not just wanton destruction and that My Pineapples find a good useful home (at your home – whoever you are? – Bless you and a Merry Christmas to you!
