Subject: I’m only one, but I’m a proud & mighty chathamcentric business owner who loves people! ( Well 98% that is!)
For those who don’t know me my name is is Daniel Salgado. I used to be the organizer of Chatham Socials & Tourism group in Pittsboro and grew to have 127 members. I also used to organized I’m bored wana play group in Raleigh-550 members then Cars-Bikes-and-Parts-events in Cary-117 members and finally The Original Chapel Hill Dining Group-413 members. I traveled throughout the triangle every other weekend sharing and seeing new and exciting adventures with people while sharing conversation with others in the groups. I used to run these events for six years straight while working on projects during the week to help make a living. I no longer have the groups, but I’m still working with my family owned Auto Fashions business since 1986.
Why did I and still do it? I enjoy helping others and interacting with others who have a true need.
The one thing that I have never been able to figure out since I have lived here in the county (since 1976) is the majority of the people who would help support and participate in my social groups and/or my small business are not from Chatham County, now why is that? Is it because my business is not within city limits or is it because I’m not an original native of Chatham County? If it is because I am not fast enough and I rather get the job done right the first time, then I will understand and accept that.
