Subject: Demand on our local food pantries is high! Again!

Every year around the holiday season the demand placed on our local food pantries rises. CORA has told me the demand started almost a month early this year and is growing. It is a shame that so many people in our community have to rely on organizations such as CORA, West Chatham Food Pantry and Farmer Food Share.

As a member of Backyard Bow Pro (a non-profit organization), we feel it is our duty to give back to our community and help those with food insecurities. Each year Backyard Bow Pro donates thousands of pounds of fresh, healthy, red meat (venison) to food pantries across NC. Last year the (young – 3 members) Chatham County Chapter was able to donate approximately 150 lbs. which equates to 600 meals. Our chapter now has six member and we hope to surpass our 300 lb. goal (1,200 meals) for this season.

Unfortunately, the Chatham County Chapter only has enough funds to process 100 lbs. In order to reach our goal of 300 lbs of donated venison, we are in need of  donations totaling $450.

100% of your tax deductible donation will be used toward the processing of donated venison. There are two ways in which to donate. 1) By credit card, call the Backyard Bow Pro office at 866-645-1772 and specify Chatham County Chapter donation or 2) by check, payable to Backyard Bow Pro, send to Eric Wales, Backyard Bow Pro, Chatham County Chapter Coordinator, 2500 Lamont Norwood Rd., Pittsboro, NC 27312.
