Government is not the bible, so to speak; it really is fallible

Taylor Kish’s diatribe re Chatham Park clearly is ill-researched.

Meaning, he (she?) hasn’t looked into it  and probably didn’t attend last night’s meeting at the Roadhouse that was on this very subject.  He also apparently falls hook line and sinker for anything the government says and that’s as dangerous as the opposite position of condemning everything the government says.  Government is made up of people and “we the people” need to keep on top of what is truly going on…to keep the government people on their toes with doing the job we elected them to do.

If Taylor were doing doing that, he would know when and where elected officials need to be advised of things that aren’t accurate.  After all, most people elected to government jobs do not have a college degree in political science, much less governing.  They are simply willing to run for the office and anyone can do that.  One group of elected officials can think they’re creating the right regulations to keep developers in line.  Yet another group will see where there are holes that allow developers to slide through,
thus causing problems with pollution or inadequate housing or some other such thing.

Taylor – government is not the bible, so to speak; it really is fallible and that was what Carole Henry was pointing out.

Sincerely,

Maryphyllis
