Or Jim Goodnight, or Preston Development.  That is a ridiculous accusation.

My only point in the Chatham Park discussion is to remind us all of OUR GOD-given right to private property.  Click on this link
http://press-pubs.uchicago.edu/founders/documents/v1ch16s15.html for the moral view of where our right to private property comes from and the LEGAL basis for our laws regarding property.  Our laws must be based on something.  Our Founding Fathers claimed moral and legal authority as the basis to establish a new government.

PittsboroMatters is in direct opposition to our Constitution.

PittsboroMatters wants to FORCE their choices, their view of utopia, on others while hypocritically avoiding the same  equirements for themselves.  PittsboroMatters wants to force LEEDS certification, global warming accommodations, THEIR view of affordable housing (as opposed to existing laws and ordinances), and extorting “protections” for existing businesses (as opposed to all the other businesses that have failed in the past five years).

I do not support or oppose Chatham Park.  I oppose PittsboroMatters and the ugly behaving opponents of Chatham Park.

In contrast, John Alderman’s Chatlist post in #4793 was interesting and NOT ugly.  I reserve judgement on the merits of Mr. Alderman’s assertions but at least he gave us pause for thought.  Mr. Alderman did not appear to grab a hoax and run with it.  His concern about government processed waste water is being researched to determine whether government operated waste water treatment facilities are responsible for messing up some species of fish.

I don’t think Mr. Alderman is blaming Preston Development for messing up some fish.  I don’t think Mr. Alderman is suggesting we stop all additions to municipal water services to prevent interrupting the sexual development of some species of fish.  But this is where the hoaxers get started.  PittsboroMatters will add to their list of demands that Preston Development must prove they will not interrupt the sexual development of all fauna in Chatham County and areas downstream to the ocean and IN the ocean!  And ALL disturbed earth must be tested by laboratories PittsboroMatters chooses to prove there are no harmful chemicals or organisms after 300 years of farming and floods.  And every tree must be checked for endangered species nests.  And every overturned rock tested for cancer-curing molds and fungi.
