Hi = I am Beth Morton and I am paraphrasing Kathy Zinns’ post about Dr. Connelly to tell my story!
I have seen Dr. Robert Connelly, OPT, at 485 West St., Pittsboro, for the last 25 years. (ph. 919-542-2020).
He is very knowledgeable, thorough and personable.
His staff is great, and there is an eye glass store, manned by wonderful people, within the practice. There is never any pressure to get my glasses there, although usually I have.
Several years ago, my eye sight started failing = unknowingly to me as to what was wrong ……….I thought I was loosing my mind…….as a writer and worker on a PC, my emotional frustration state had reached it’s limit.
I finally went to Dr. Connelly to see if my glasses needed changing. He did a thorough exam and found out my eye pressures were awful…..and that I had Glaucoma. The slackness on my part of not getting treatment has left me with limited vision, I am sad to say.
Dr. Connelly and his staff worked with me beyond the call of duty for weeks-months-years to treat the glaucoma, get me seeing again and keep me seeing without further vision loss.
Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of blindness in the United States.
Glaucoma can damage your vision so gradually you may not notice any loss of vision until the disease is at an advanced stage. The most common type of glaucoma, primary open-angle glaucoma, has no noticeable signs or symptoms except gradual vision loss.
Early diagnosis and treatment can minimize or prevent optic nerve damage and limit glaucoma-related vision loss. It’s important to get your eyes examined regularly, and make sure your eye doctor measures your interocular pressure.
I will NEVER go anywhere else……..unless Dr. Connelly goes out of business!
