I’m appalled Darryl at your response to Chatham Chatlist #4782.

I choose to never respond to most of the cruel and hurtful conversations on the Chatlist due to the fact that I do not want to get wrapped up in a heated debate with someone because most people turn the conversations into the ugliest form of human compassion possible. But HOW DARE YOU say that we should only limit ourselves to two children less we become like China.

One, that is one of the most racist remarks I have ever seen and two, you have no right to say someone can not have a large family if they feel so inclined to do so. I for one am totally for abstinence and starting in our schools is first and foremost. Stop giving them condoms and give them the facts. And I totally agree that some people should not be having children due to their economic situation and/or they are just not meant to be parents and the child suffers. However, my daughter was born to be a mother, God gave her the  patience, kindness and love to raise children and our first grandchild was born this year and she longs to have a large family and hopefully Lord willing will give us 3 or 4 more grandbabies to love.

Shame on you for your remark, if you feel Chatham County is overpopulated then get your behind involved in some sort of program to help educate people on this situation instead of berating the Chinese and those women out there who are raising strong, kind and considerate children to help make this world a better place.

Sincerely,

The PROUD grandmother of Levi and future grandbabies!!!
