Subject: National Guard Unit 5K run
In honor and support of the local community’s unwavering support for the military, the National Guard Unit housed in Siler City, is hosting a 5K run on October 12th at 8:00am.
Register soon so you can snag one of their sweet tshirts!
There is an ultra-low $15 registration fee, and kids can “bring 5, run 5(K)”, meaning they can bring 5 canned goods in lieu of the registration fee. Every penny will go to the West Chatham Food Pantry, which services so many of our children and families.
Following the run is a Community Day from 9-12, where businesses are encouraged to come and set up a table or booth for free–the mission focus is to again thank the community for its efforts and support–and to meet our neighbors.
Should be an awesome day! Bring a friend!! Runners and walkers, kids and “big” kids!
