I want to thank everyne for their advice about our Crape Myrtle trees.I plead innocent in that I did not plant these trees they were here when I bought the property. Even if they no longer bloom because of the shade they
are still lovely trees.
Some of you suggested the leaf drop may be because of the rain and at our place we have had rain almost every day this summer. This is the first summer in 20 yrs. I have never watered a plants!
I’m on the east side of Jordan Lake and today so far it has not rained, yet!
The chatlist is wonderful source of information.
Thanks again everyone..
When I look carefully, I can see fungus spores on leaves of certain dark flowered color crepe myrtle leaves…and on other colors..you can see black spot (fungus)…causing leaves to yellow out and fall….
Just another eample of too much moisture, not enough wind to dry out leaves and not enough sun to take care of diseases on leaves…..you can spray a fungicide…or just leave them alone and let mother nature do its thing.
