As for your digressions into politics and philosophy, they are a “carefully considered” rant

Your restatement of the drilling issue does nothing to relieve concerns of the majority of the public. Whether or not standards are followed by good or bad contractors, the point I made is that movement of fluid cannot be fully controlled once released underground. You ignored that simple fact in the original post and you do so now in your “carefully considered” analysis. That is one  example of the magic curtains of Tom Glendinning.

Maybe you would drink water from a contaminated aquifer that contains chemicals the companies do not identify to the public, but I, and a majority of citizens, do not wish to do so.

As for your digressions into politics and philosophy, they are a “carefully considered” rant.

My apologies to the Chatham Chatlist community.

Several non-Chathamcentric Statecentric posts have gotten through lately.

I will be more vigilant in the future and either move the statecentric and nationcentric posts to the Chatham BBS or return them to sender.
