Great Day on Saturday!

Almost 50 Animal Advocates came to the Pittsboro Roadhouse last Saturday to talk about animal issues confronting Chatham County.

Areas we talked about addressing:

Education
Licensure/Laws & Ordinances
Community/Volunteer Involvement
Reduce Euthanasia!

Of course all of this costs the county nothing but action. In fact, licensing would create income for the county and cut down on shelter over crowding and the increase of unwanted animals.

Thanks to OneChatham, facilitator Mark Molitor and Commissioner Brian Bock who introduced the concept of zero euthanasia for Chatham County. Let’s continue to engage our county leaders in ending animal suffering and euthanasia in Chatham. There are lots of groups and ways to get involved and make a difference.

Kudos to Greg Lewis at the Pittsboro Roadhouse who graciously opened the Roadhouse early on Saturday, provided staff and coffee & bagels! Greg, a rescue dad himself,  has been a good friend to animals in the county.

Show your appreciation to the Roadhouse by dining there and saying; “thanks Greg!”
