Subject: Child Care Networks and Child Care Subsidy Changes
Dear Chatham County Friends,
We want to let you know about an important change coming.
Starting in July, Child Care Networks will no longer provide the child care financial assistance program that it has administered for many years under contract with the Chatham County Department of Social Services. Child care financial assistance (child care subsidy) will still be available to eligible families by contacting DSS directly.
Child Care Networks will continue to serve the community through: training, technical assistance and grants for child care providers; child care referrals for families looking for child care; and sponsorship for the Child and Adult Care Food Program.
Child Care Networks and Chatham DSS are working together closely to ensure a smooth transition of child care subsidy services for families and child care providers.
