Subject: FREE Assistive Devices for Loan in Chatham
The Chatham County Council on Aging currently has a Donated Medical Equipment Program that is tasked with providing FREE, medical assistive devices to Chatham residents. We carry in our inventory items such as..
-Toilet chairs/risers
-Shower chairs/benches/transfer
-Transfer boards
-Wheelchairs
-Crutches/Canes
-Walkers (standard & 4-wheel w/ seat)
-Hoyer lifts (we currently have TWO of these!)
-Electric hospital beds (we currently have TWO of these!)
-Electronic lift chairs
-Motorized scooters/chairs (jazzy chairs)
Just to name a few…
No need to pay out the nose for the use of that walker or wheelchair you only need ..just borrow one of ours! Because we own all of our donated equipment, we can give it out to anyone who is in need. There are no age, residency, or income tests of any kind. IT’S FREE, AND YOU KEEP THE EQUIPMENT AS LONG AS YOU NEED IT (yes, if you need it for 20 years, then you keep it for 20 years-just give it back when you are done!)
To borrow one or a few of our items, or if you would like to know if we carry something not listed above, please contact me below.
