Thank you to all who came out and made September’s First Sunday a success!! Even though we had to close down early b/c of the rain we had a great turnout!! A big thank you to all of our current vendors, our new vendors, Justin Johnson and The Hoppin’ John Olde Time Band for the music you all helped to make it a destination point!!

Booths for kids will be free this October!! The only rules are that the children have to make their own products themselves and they have to man their booths!! We will put the kids in one area making it easier to browse their creations. Please email us if you plan to participate at !!

In addition teens and children are invited to participate in the first downtown COMMUNITY GARDEN. We’ve got some Elderberry bushes donated by our friend Roger to plant!!! The garden will be located on the south side (Salisbury St.) of the RECLAMATION HOME FURNISHINGS building!! Teens and children will grow plants and herbs that can

be used by local bakers and restaurants and will serve as a continual catalyst for learning about farming, working with the environment, and business.  The cleaning out and planting will begin at 2PM. In addition to the Community Garden, children and teens are also invited to participate in side walk chalk art drawing on Salisbury Street. Chalk will be provided by PITTSBORO TOYS.

FOR OCTOBER count on:

1) Some very good live music celebrating the Shakori Hills Grassroots Music Festival (October 4-7)
2) A photography booth (weather permitting)
3) The return of The Carolina Brewery Truck, Little Dippers, and Maple View Farm Ice Cream Truck,  and our newest addition SYMPATHY FOR THE DELI food truck!!
4) Community Garden cleaning and planting starting at 2PM on Salisbury Street next to Reclamation Home Furnishings
