If only the old hyway could talk! What stories it could tell-   Well, I do have a few of my own- The old hyway has magical powers and spirits that linger to this day- or at least in my neck of the woods. Stay tuned- stay confused- I am.

Does anyone else know of any other cement bridges that were part of the older hyway  between Pittsboro and Siler City?

Pure speculation, trying to see this in my mind it’s been so long since I have been through there, but what about Stagecoach Road on the Siler City end of 64? Pretty sure it’s the old 64 path, but not sure if the bridge has been replaced. I know I remember crossing it when it was narrow and concrete.

I also remember when I was around 10 or 12 my father taking me and my go-kart over to some of our family land near Jenkins Propane. There used to be a short stretch of old 64 that ran from Jenkins to Alex Cockman road, deserted so it was perfect for a 10 year old NASCAR driver to take his 5hp briggs go-kart to see how fast it really would go.
