Subject: Shop Piggly Wiggly
In light of the recent post re. Food Lion, I would like to recommend that my Pittsboro neighbors give Piggly Wiggly a try. I, too, have been frustrated with the lack of customer service at Food Lion over the past several years, and almost always left the store frustrated*. *I spoke to the manager and regional supervisor multiple times, but never saw any positive changes. The staff at Piggly Wiggly is friendly and the lines are short. There are 2 regular baggers that actually know how to pack bags! I find it quite easy to run in, pick up a few items, and quickly be on my way. The PW meat department is wonderful and the meat is delicious. The butcher will custom cut your order when requested.

I agree. Piggley Wiggley is a good store. Their meat is as good as Harris Teeter and usually cheaper.
iggley iggley (at night anyway) is great, why?
They will order you items they do not normally carry. (ask Blake, nicely of course)
The Butcher will, cut, grind, and chop items for you, and will check in the freezer if something is not out, just ask him. (Justin) Great quality and prices in the meat department.
Most likely the best fried chicken in town. (argue away here)
The deli meat is NOT Sara Lee.
They do not have deceptive sales (like the other large store in town, FL). Example; a sale on soup, with no mention of “select” varieties on the sign. When I took the soup back to FL, it took three people to refund my two dollars.
