If people would do 5 minutes of reasearch, or just watch the local evening news occaisionally, there would be a lot less claims of the sky falling.

FORT BRAGG, N.C. The Marine Corps is using Fort Bragg’s wide open spaces to practice with their big guns.
The Fayetteville Observer reports that starting Monday the 10th Marine Division will be at Fort Bragg for three weeks for artillery training. The Marines are there to fire their 155 mm guns, which the Army base near Fayetteville says means neighbors are in store for loud explosions and echoes.
The howitzers will be silent between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. daily and from 10 a..m. to noon on Sundays.
Fort Bragg spokesman Ben Abel says the noise is a necessary part of Army and Marine units being prepared to fight in all types of weather and around the clock.
Eight Marines and two sailors were injured during artillery at Fort Bragg in March.
